Take the coastal path to the Hunters Inn, drive a couple of miles to the Fox and Goose at Parracombe or walk or drive to the Rising Sun at Lynmouth.
Try out Kentisbury Grange’s Coach House which is about 5 miles away and if you have more time drive over to Michael Caines’ highly acclaimed Gidleigh Park near Exeter.
If you need help with transport then we are happy to recommend a few different options.
If you get bored…
Our location “where Exmoor meets the sea” means we are surrounded by nature. The National Trust own and manage the extensive woods and forest that surround the property and the South West coastal path runs past the property.
Exmoor is Europe’s first international dark sky reserve and as such is an excellent place to marvel at the wonders of the night skies. It is one of very few places in England where low levels of light pollution allow you such an experience.
The surfing beaches of Woolacombe and Croyde are a short drive away.
A huge variety of activities are available covering walking, trekking, trail running, sea swimming, coasteering, jet skis, fishing, horse riding, BMX riding, foraging etc. etc.
It could be an ideal time to take advantage of our wonderful open-air gym and we can arrange personal training sessions with a fully qualified trainer.
